Comb Over Fade is where the top hair is grown to a longer length and then combed over in part manner, slicked back style. A comb over fade helps minimize baldness by spreading the hairs on the bald area of the head. The hairs on the back and side are kept short and a proper fade transition is given between the comb over hair and the shorter hairs on the sides.
Princeton hairstyle is a type of crew cut in which the hair on top is 2-5 cm (1-2 in) longer and their length progressively decreases towards the sides and back. The top hair can be styled with hair mousse to give a firm hold to your hair along with extra shininess. Short bangs can also be left on the front that can be brushed up to form a short pompadour. Such haircuts are also known as Ivy League haircuts. Checkout David Beckham’s amazing Princeton fade cut.
Caesar Fade is considered as one of the best type of fades for black males. It is similar to Short on Sides, Long on Top hairstyles. The hair on top is cut in slightly larger length and usually combed to the front side instead of side part. Short fringes or bangs can be swept to the sides. The remaining hair can be styled with a strong gel.
High and Tight is commonly known as a Bald Fade haircut. It is a good example of military hairstyles. Hairs on the sides as well as on the back of your head are shaved to a larger extent while buzzed hairs are kept on top.
Fauxhawk haircut is where a sharper fade is provided between hairs on top and sides. Hairs on the top are much longer in length that can be lifted in spikes form. Applying gel will make your spikes standout in the crowd. The sides and back can be buzzed or shaved depending upon your preference.
Temple Fade is similar to Caesar fade and is also known as a Temp Fade haircut. A slightly lower taper fade is provided that varies from 1 cm to 2 cm in length around the temple. Remaining hairs are left with the same length. It’s extremely popular among black males and they use to call it the Brooklyn Fade, Low Fade or Blowout haircut.
High Top Fade is just a counter to Low Fade hairstyles. It’s a hairstyle that is popular among young black males with Afro textured hair or curly hair. Hairs on the sides & back are cut short at the hairline and then tapered in an upward direction. Usually the taper begins at the ear level that goes to a height of 2-5 inches (5-13 cm) depending upon the hair texture and your requirements.
